After my ode to Beaujolais, a couple hard betrayals

I remember the 2002 Foillard CdP Morgon when it was released in 750ml's. I remember because at the time I was pouring the 2001 by the glass, and I recall being disappointed in how the 2002 was showing in relation to how much I loved the 2001. Brett was a part of it. Loveability was another part.

And I thought Detroit sopped up all the 2001. I'm glad to see other portions of it fell into the right hands. My Wine of the Decade - ? I drank at least 6 cases of it.

The 2002 was different. More contained.

i gave the rest of my 01 to guillaume's friend luc in celebration of his having a kid.

cute kid and all that, but the 01 was fucking lovely earlier this year -- shows to go what they say about alcohol impairing the judgement.

still, better to bitch about misplaced "generosity" than whine about corks like a newby bitching about his bride's menstrual cycle.

from a purely winegeek perspective, the only solution to the metras is to get with the program, get a haraam, or get used to to the cool kids pointing at your underpants.

which is to say that it's a hard life, and the booze is only here to make it softer.
