Anyone use a Vinoglobe to aerate wine?

I asked this on eBob and got no response.

I saw this at DePonte Cellars in Willamette Valley. It's called a Vinoglobe. I think it might work on younger wines, although I wouldn't use it on older wines because of sediment concerns. Anyone used one? Does it work or is it just a gimmick?

Prior to arriving at a jeebus, I typically decant all wines through my chest hair (a la Plinko) before funneling back into the bottle. If the wine in question is extra tannic, I've been known to play the back nine too.

It doesn't cost anything and there is less washing involved...

We need more CWD here.

Huh. And I thought dal Piaz was the only one who did that.

Where is dal Piaz, anyway?
