Yixin = Dressner.
This is an old but quality explanation that I'm sticking with.

Yixin stayed at my house some years ago, at which time he participated in a legendarily disastrous tasting at Maureen's. There was an account of this on the late lamented Wine Therapy, but I don't know where it is now.

Joe stayed with us this past October. He didn't look much like Yixin. But maybe they do complete body disguises as in Mission Impossible movies. So I don't know that this counts as proof.

That was the one where nearly everything was corked or off somehow, to the point where you were afraid to open any more bottles, right? I'd blame negative energy.

Yixin stayed at my old house a while back as well, but mostly kept to himself, guzzling Valpolicella for breakfast each morning, the last with a kabinett chaser. Well, and then there was this.

Thor, You had to have gotten a bad bottle (afflicted probably with seriously bad storage). Both the 1988 and 1989 bottlings of this PN have been delightful at our dining table fairly recently. Ken Burnap's wines customarily make good old bones.

You've taken both Joe & Yixin into your home? My God man you fit the definition of the ultimate social liberal. You do understand that by your actions you are retarding the natural path of evolution. You may feel good about yourself but many of us are saddened with good cause.
