I desire massive quantities of older Chevalier.
Mention it to .sasha the next time you come to town. Or maybe, to me.

whichever path you choose, avoid the one where you mention it to SFJoe without notifying .sasha

btw, 05 white was surprisingly good. Really. yes, there is a difference - a touch of that thing which I still can't name, but which is the white wine equivalent of what would be called blue fruit in a red wine.

The only recent vintage I've had was the 2003, which I didn't particularly like. Has the estate gone spoofy or is 2003 just an aberration?

The '98 was very drinkable. Not at all spoofy.
Is that considered recent?

I've had the 1998 (rouge) and also liked it a lot.

I was talking more about the aughts.

I always read the phrase, "For God's sake" as something involving fermented rice.

Bless your heart.

Rather the opposite.

Debauch my godless soul. Or something. I mean, it's not like I actually drink sake.

Bless your heart means something different in Southern.

It's like the Inuit's and their many names for snow; the Southerner has no end of ways to say, "Fuck you."
