2001 Angeli La Lune

Just a had a great bottle of this. It shows like a mature sweet wine that has become a little less sweet with age. Deep gold but fresh, slimmer than I recall, with lovely minerality and depth, honey, clove and some spice. Really beautiful stuff.

Come back to New York. I've still got a couple left. I never would have seen its evolving in this direction.

wouldn't have expected them to live long, but nice to know that they can.

Do you find this better than it was as a young wine or different enough in interesting enough ways to actively age it?

I don't know that I'd say it's better -- I loved them on release. It is very different, and different in interesting ways. I get the sense that the site is really shining through more at this point. There were some ugly ducklings in between, however, so I think you played the percentages.
