You will forgive my ignorance, but I thought Suvorov was in Poland and Italy, not France. And he had to cross the Alps the hard way.

Indeed, he crossed the Alps with great difficulty, and so did I. He did not have to go to France; the French had greeted him in Italy. And his efforts were no more appreciated by Tsar Pavel than mine were by the politburo.
