You mean it's gotten worse since the 95? Surely that wine set the standard for spoof.

Well since you asked, '94 d'Armailhac. It was actually very nice in a wash down the lamb chops kind of way and is probably as good as it will ever be. It's weird because I bought a lot of Bordeaux when I first became interested in wine (all of it on Brad Kanes recommendation) and now my tastes are elsewhere but the wine is still there in my cellar. I guess a person could have worse problems.

I'm almost out of CA cab as well and will need to address that in the next year or so.
You're right..."worse" is a strong word, in this context. You mean it's gotten worse since the 95? Surely that wine set the standard for spoof.

No hidden agenda here, but why?
Do you eat the kind of food that CA cab. goes with on a regular basis?
How often do you head to the cellar with CA cab. being your first choice?
Best, Jim

Exactly the opposite. If I had properly modeled it, this would never have happened.

I know, the eternal optimist. I swear to god, if you think hard enough the answer is there...somewhere...

Speaking of the South ...
Has anyone been catching the True Blood Season One reruns this week? I picked it up in Season Two. Having seen 3/4ths of the first, I have a much greater appreciation for the series. It's a writer-driven show all the way. The near awful acting (Anna Paquin?!) and almost anti-production values (the cheap fast-motion stuff is the highlight of the camera work) bring out the skeletal brilliance of the writing. All those asshole Southern writers should be proud - it's mostly cribbed from the Southern gothics.
Oh - and the sound design is the one point of production that is fucking awesome.
