Matt Kramer's recent writeup of a visit he took to Frank Cornelissen's tasting room on Mt. Etna has received plenty of notice, including mention by Mr. Asimov on his blog. Checking back recently, I found that the comment string following the original post has grown long, and that the (currently) final comment is a followup by Mr. Kramer with some corrections and additional factual information about the winemaking practices. There are also some additional direct quotes from Mr. Cornelissen that I found illuminating.

I would recommend that those who have an interest take another look.

The comment Cornelissen makes about considering his wines as wines first rather than exemplars of red, white, "fluo" (?) is illuminating.

Fluorescent. I'm not quite sure what he means by that, but since none of his wines are really the color of their category (the reds more than the whites, but then again not really), I suppose it might be his version of "orange" from both ends.
