I'm in for a case of dickweed, but only if it's biodynamic. I can't abide industrial dickweed.
Are you willing to pay more?
Only if it has an animal on the label.

Only if it's aged in Amphora and taste like ass.

Thanks for the intelligent commentary.

Please let us know what other categories of wine you straight up dismiss. I'm on the edge of my seat with the anticipation of knowing.

Smoke some weed, fart, relax, fuck off.

What is the point in having this person posting here?

i guess the point is to exchange ideas, share opinions.
Since you insulted VLM earlier, and reading your smart ass comment about what categories of wine i would dismiss, i have a strange feeling that you really don't care much about other peoples opinions. I mean, you straight up dismiss, VLM, Eric, cory, and my opinion on "orange wines", and it is Just plain insulting.

I am entitled to my opinion, and really, i don't need to prove anything to you.

It pissed me off reading your vlm comments, i found that post to be way too personnal, innapropriate, and unprofessional.

I should have not told you to fuck off, but definitely take my advice on the other ones, it's just a wine board, an interesting one at that, where an idiot, uneducated kid like me can interact with much smarter, educated peoples like you, so let's just relax.

If you really are bothered by my attitude, take it to the politburo and have me thrown out for a difference of opinion.

If it doesn't work, i guess you'll just have to learn how to deal with it, like everybody else.

Bless your heart...

Well, to be fair, insulting VLM shouldn't even rise to the level of notice around here. After all, we haven't lost our minds (current evidence to the contrary aside) nor our sense of propriety and justice in the world. Insulting VLM is the bedrock on which our society is founded.

do we really need all this crips vs. bloods stuff?

Let it die or take it to email. Nobody cares who gets the last word.

Well, i do make a big difference between a "friendly" fuck off, and a personal rant against one of the member on the board.
Calling VLM an ignorant on the subject of orange wine is just a big mistake.
He was a good costumer of us at "terroir" and he definitely spent a shitload of money on orange and other amphora aged wines, and i wouldn't be so quick in dismissing his opinion.
Now if there is a list of people that can or cannot handle a little fuck off once in a while, please have the politburo send it my way.

Kind of reminds me of a thread on wine therapy a few years ago, with different protagonists. Victor and Latin Liquidator, maybe. Doghead came on and did some pretty good psychoanalysis but the thread ended up locked anyway.

Or maybe it is just an East Coast West Coast thing, like 2Pac and Notorious BIG.

Its a shame, because there is some really good information here.

I am still interested to know about the comparison between the Terre Nere Etna Rosso and the Cornelissen Munjabel 5 Rosso.

I haven't received my bottles of the 5 yet. The Terre Nere Etna Rosso is the basic $18 bottling, the Munjebel 5 is more like $40. So not really an apple to apple comparison. But having had the M4 and
the TNER, they're very different. The TNER is a nice fruit forward wine that is fairly conventional and
modern. The M4, being a Cornelissen, is deeper, more intense, very pure, and quite vibrant and alive, reflecting its natural no sulfur origin.

But would you agree that it seems reasonable to place Von Schubbert, Mugnier or Trimbach at one end of the spectrum and Cornellissen, Robineau or Peyra at the other?

I only tasted the full line of Cornelissen wines once in my life. I was uninspired and found all the hoopla a publicity stunt. At the time, he was unknown and apparently he has been able to work this stunt well. Frankly, I didn't find much there except insane prices and skilled publicity manipulation. I don't understand the fascination in the media. We could have been Cornelissen's first importer but passed on this golden opportunity.

Peyra no longer exists. Their wines were always too reductive and suffered from too many bacterial infections which were neither natural or unnatural but just plain bad. They had no money, big demand, and rushed wines to market without sulphur but also without elevage. The wines are not ready and I found them too often just plain stinky. Being just plain stinky is not natural or unnatural.

I find Robineau's reds to be quite pretty, but the whites suffer from some oxidation. I like the man a great deal, who doesn't, and find it heroic to watch his energy and dedication. I don't think his wines make a case for anything in particular.

So, yes, I understand Eric's point but I think there are too many "straw" men here. Best to be concrete.

I'm just a senior member of this board, not a politburo member, but would like to ask everyone to calm down and stop trading insults.

Thank you very much.
