Ian, Jadot seem to operate Chateau des Lumieres in a similar fashion to Chateau des Jacques in Moulin-a-Vent i.e. A basic Lumieres bottling and individual bottlings from the 4 Lumieres Clos [5 at des Jacques]:Cte de Py, les Charmes, Bellevue and Roche Noire of which I have only had the first and the standard all-in bottling.
I very much enjoy and cellar both des Jacques [the basic plus the Clos wines: Grand Carquelin and Rochegres] and des Lumieres [basic and Cote de Py] although I will happily buy the others if I see them.
I don't/can't write TNs but if you like the Jadot style [Burgundian vinification rather than semi-carbonic and typically more oak although I don't find it obtrusive] I think you will like the des Lumieres wines. IMO both improve with some age. Jadot talk about 'up to 20 years in good vintages' but I have rarely kept them more than 10 and have always started years before that. The first immediately but usually from 3-4. I used to buy them by the case [still do for the basic wines] but the Clos wines have unfortunately become relatively expensive.
I should say I also buy and cellar Gang of 5 wines plus Chermette, Coudert et al so my liking for cru Beaujolais is across the spectrum and therefore this rather sparse description may not be very useful to you if you have specific Beajolais preferences.
