Well, finally, you've started to give wines a score, for those of us who just want to cut to the chase and find the best wine without wading through all this wordy bullshit. And, what do I find? Apparently you're such a hard marker that you're giving just about everything only 1/10. For God's SAKE. Are they all that bad? At least fall into line with everybody else and make it 10/100.
yours pointedly,
Graeme
Should've seen last years ratings and the years before. My only argument is with Thor's lack of precision (accuracy of course being a related but different topic).

It's true that my score range has widened as the years have gone by. I figure by 2020, I'll have softened to the full English scale. Maybe by then I'll have joined Cory in giving up on wine notes, ceding the field to Nat Decants.

I am glad I don't sell wine; hate to try to do that in a world where, by 2020 as Thor posits, the best score one can get is 60% - -and that would be in the year-end Champagne blitz season.

As Lou can confirm, my scores move markets. Or, very small pieces of lint. One or the other.

Besides, I think 12 out of 20 is an excellent score. I don't hold with this grade inflation stuff.
