Chateau Calon Segur St Estephe '95
Dark almost inky red.
Sweet perfume, cigar box, black fruits, cassis.
Medium body, medium dark fruits, acid/tannins readily evident but well integrated, structure and balance, perhaps a bit straight-laced (knitted).
Moderate length to a pleasing finish. [E]

Served with Roasted Rack of Lamb, Roasted Beets, Mashed Garlic Potatoes...

Kirk, That would be a challenge...at least to me given my basic photography tools.

Chateau Calon-Ségur St. Estèphe '95 -- Solid red, generous Claret aromas, nicely developed with still some youthfulness, good complexity in flavors, nice length in finish. Most enjoyable Bordeaux that is ready to drink soon or down the road...current notes similar to 2010 notes. [E]

Paired well with grilled flank steak, tater tots, and green beans...then chocolate chip cookie and chocolate/almond cookie.

Pavel, I don't drink much Bordeaux here at home any more. This sampling made me wonder why. It measured up just as you say.

Chateau Calon-Segur '96 -- Dark red, still good fruit, classy aromas, some tobacco, mild but full profile, silky, holds well for a lengthy finish, mature but good life left. [E]

Don't remember what we had it with, but it served our purposes very nicely.
