VLM, happy BD. The trip was entirely too well-behaved this year, we missed you.

I heard reports of massive gastro problems. Closel dinner?
Etiology unknown.

Why don't statisticians ever learn epidemiologic experimental design?

We do. Well, many of us anyway.

If it was Closel, there would have been a control group. [emoticon].

Yeah, well, wherever it came from it was a norovirus.

I'm still looking over my shoulder.

Also, I had Dressner beside me in the car for 5 hours sneezing and blowing his nose, so I'm a little anxious about my current congestion.

Joe told me he was going to play the I've been ill routine for all it's worth. Tell him to get his bicycle out of hock.

Ah yes, the glories of the Loire in February.

Norovirus? Hasn't anyone heard of washing your hands and clorox (well, not in caves)?

To this day, I've only been to one dinner that resulted in spankings; call me a country mouse.

Happy fucking birthday, vlm!

In your honor tonight I read an article about the withdrawal of a 1998 article by the Lancet by a researcher who helped spark the "MMR vaccination causes autism" alarm. All sorts of alleged misconduct there. Then there's the Newsweek article this week summarizing recent research suggesting that many of the anti-depressants on the market in the US are only marginally (and I mean marginally) better than placebos for less severe types of depression. Clearly, one thing the the world needs is better statisticians (and scientists).

Thanks Jimbo.Remember when I was young and full of piss and vinegar.

For those of you that don't remember, that's how I got the name Vulgar Little Monkey from the doghead.

Hope to see you soon.

I think I'll drink a 71 Huet Bourg instead of cake.

Totaling a beemer will age you. Were you in that thing?

Many happy returns.

I heard those guys moved on to global warming research after that one. Oh, and ditto on the Bwood felicitations.

Don't rule out Vietnamese pepper too hastily.

working is SO 2009. get with the program and come to the beach!

Joel, you're like already two days past VLM's birthday. Let it go, bro.

I think we should all play the game of: What did I drink that'll incite VLM to

(a) anger
(b) curiosity
(c) disdain
(d) envy.

I'll start.
