2012 Hervé Souhaut Syrah smells carbonic, with red fruit, spices and a smokey note. Sappy mouth, good weight and balance, but a lardy finish before food. Quite pleasant, but somewhat generic glouglou; makes one think of carbonic convergence.

Checking for notes on this wine I found this (to me, forgotten) thread where Eric Texier basically positions Souhaut as anti-Gonon. Worth re-reading his and others' comments.
