Newbie Question Part II: Jacqueson Rully Cloux and Chaponnieres

Does anyone know what the difference is between these two wines? And how is Jacqueson as a producer? Are their 2006s worth buying?

Jacqueson is one of the handful of most talented producers on the Cte Chalonnaise, which I mean as substantial praise. (There is talk of forming a league of the best ten producers on the Cte Chalonnaise, which I think would be a fabulous promotional idea. But of course, that would only serve to raise the price to you -- i.e., these wines are underpriced in comparison to quality.) I've never visited and don't have enough experience with Chaponnires to compare to the Cloux, but to quote Anthony Hanson: "You may almost buy with your eyes closed, but if you do you will miss the photographs of smiling, slim-legged, lightly-dressed girl workers treading down his solid Pinot skins, pips and stalks -- which are an unexpected extra attraction." Buy!

Is Guy Chaumont anywhere near that league? I really enjoyed his 05 Bourgogne two nights ago.

fuck off newbieAnother school project?

Yeah. Right now I'm cutting construction paper with safety scissors and pasting them together for this presentation on the Cote Chalonnaise. Going to break out the crayons soon in order to draw some winsome illustrations of Rully. I'm thinking Cloux would look beautiful in burnt sienna and turquoise blue.

If I do well, apparently the teacher will give me a brand new set of magic markers. You know, the ones that smell like cherries, licorice, and Coulee de Serrant. I'm excited!
