Brad,
I must plead luddite here; I know of cellartracker and that people post notes there but what's this about posting from there to here? Could you explain, please?
Best, Jim

If one types up tasting notes on CT, there's a way to have them post to various wine boards either in plain old tn style, or as a typical jeebus essay.

Here's a link as an example: Richard Jenning's notes on a Vieux Telegraph vertical.

Richard wrote his notes up in CT and then clicked a button that posted it to wineberserkers.

This by itself is reason enough not to allow it here. It encourages the impression that wine notes on 4 different boreds are the same notes. They aren't as you can see by following the thread that results. If you want to post the same notes on different boreds, as numbers of people here do, I think for this bored, it should be a separate decision, especially given the different consequences those notes will have.

In any case, you asked for responses for the politburo. I'd say this thread gave you that. The politburo in its mysterious being, of course, will do what it does.

If Eric implements this feature, someone will have to consult with him on a filter for automatically removing the terminology that will get you mocked here.

Some grudges should never be forgotten nor forgiven. Lyle knows what I mean.

Oh, yeah?

I'll have to ask him about it when I'm over at his house watching a movie next week.

It's an epic tale of young men, naivet, misplaced trust, backroom deals, crushed moral compasses, and betrayal. Oh, and wine. Lyle can tell the story as well as I. Super fun for all ages!
