1970 Cantemerle [en magnum] - a bit of red fruit, leather, a little leather, started to dry, and honestly, not that great, but there's something about an old magnum that just roots the evening and settles everyone in...

2002 Lapierre Morgon (no SO2) - this one just fine, red Gamay, a bit of raunch, a bit of meat, fine.

2002 Belleviere Rouge Gorge - MMM...pepper, wood sap, Pineau fruit, leather, minerals. Easy and open and interesting. Great with pork sausage.

Konings hoeven Triple - Lovely full and rich, akin to a St. Bernardus Abt 12. Perfect with sausage - indeed, probably refined to perfection 150 years ago with sausage.

2008 Etienne Dupont Cidre Bouche Brut de Normandie Organique - Lovely orchard apples, farmyard raunch, just a touch demisec. According to the label, apples are Petit Jaune, Judor, and Frequin. Unpasteurized and unfiltered (still wondering how they got it past the USDA, but I feel just fine).

I have a couple of the '02 Rouge Gorge left. I'll have to try one soon.

I was sure Peyton would at least get the game to overtime until the interception pick 6.
