Spam: Chambers Street Grand Opening

Drat - can't you do this down in the D.C. area? What's so great about New York?

If it is any consolation you could join Williams Corner Wine at A la Lucia in Alexandria, VA this saturday (1-4pm) for an epic tasting of Roagna Barolos and Barbarescos.

We have Mets tickets, but will try to make the tail end of the night. Assuming no rainout.

Really though, these things have become all about face time and being seen. It's all politics, not like it used to be in the good old days, when it was all about getting drunk for free. Progress? I think not.

Perhaps a little deeper reading is required. Many of us regularly post on California wines. Some of us even make them.

I'm drinking Pastene "Sherry" right now.

Of course, I'd never admit to it.

Yes, I like Uniqua; I could see her and Tyrone growing up, marrying, and moving to Bourgueil to set up a biodynamic vineyard.

The only trouble I run into is imagining what the kids will end up with on their heads, between his antlers and her weird spirally things.
