Yes. I would probably choose this over Salumi though I haven't been since they moved into their own Pioneer Sq space in January. They used to operate off hot plates in a gelato shop down near the Zig Zag behind Pike Place Market.

If you like cannele they make very good ones at Honore Artisan Bakery in Ballard. Avoid their very sweet macarons.

Last fall we had excellent meals at How to Cook a Wolf, Spinasse and Sitka & Spruce.

We had a really good dinner and evening at Maximilien above Pike St Market. It never gets talked about too much, but really good old school French using the fresh ingredients from the market. Like Cafe Campagne but with a better view. The wine list could be better.
No one is going to post notes from the cassoulet evening? So sorry to have missed it.

Love Spinasse. They were pouring Burlotto Barolo when I was there. And the pasta was perfect.
Don't recall any clunkers at the Cassoulet dinner though I didn't spend much time w/ the priorat.
There was a Texier that definitely did not suck.
Will have to get to S&S. Looks like the Monday thing is a popup, not S&S itself.
Very tough to get down there on a Monday.
Likewise w/ Mac&Cheese Monday at Golden Beetle, though i'd prefer the tacos.
Down for Spinasse most anytime.
From work, Y ended up w/ $400 worth of gift certs to the Herb Farm so we're going this Sunday.
From remarks i've seen recently it is likely to be a disappointment. But since the food is free we're scraping together a few $$ for the wine list which is crazy.

last time i went it was in s&s. same chefs, same waitstaff... only difference is that they were cooking stuffs from teh homelands. it was a nice vibe.
tbh, i found it more exciting than the standard s&s chow (though this comment is not intended as a knock on that.)
