Gestural Abstraction

Yesterday I received some professional photos of my space and wanted to share one of them, not so much because I find it beautiful but because it looks uncanny, subtly weird. It's a composite of six separate photos, and maybe the sense of artificiality (assuming it strikes you the same way) comes from the eye knowing that neither it, nor the array of lenses whose optics we have internalized, can see the world this way.

Are you familiar with the work of Oliver Boberg? Very much along that line --incredible cardboard and other materials that are minitures of "real world" scenes.
