Having not yet tackled the HP oeuvre (Andrew's only 5 right now), I can't specifically speak these matchups, but certainly Ged is one badass mofo when he isn't dithering over his moral imperatives. Kalessin, OTOH, would (literally) eat Dumbledore for breakfast.

Age seems to be have a counter-intuitive relationship to Potter-attraction in our house. Our 5yo won't even consider having them as part of her nightly reading.

Ged v Gandalf seems the perfect match to me, if somehow Chthlhu is eliminated, which seems unlikely. Harry Dresden on the other hand seems just sad--how did he get seeded?
