Yes. Otherwise I'd have no hesitation recommending holding it.

I understand there will be yet a third version with real cork.

That's good to hear, Jay, as I just snapped some up from CSW (along with '09 Briords and '07 Granite de Clisson). Now to the question of when they'll be able to ship it to me...

The '09 Briords on the other hand is pretty tightly wound at the moment (just poured). Hold it while drinking the Pepiere. Either one.

Or check back here in an hour after the wine has had some air.
 
That makes perfect sense.

By the way, more or less related, I just finished the leftovers from a bottle of 2002 Luneau-Papin Excelsior. I'll try to write a proper note soon, but the main thing is, it drank very nicely. A year or two ago it was way young.
