TN: Riesling Rendezvous

A friend poured the Dr. Konstantin Frank 2001 Dry Riesling Reserve for me a couple of months ago. It's excellent (sorry, no note - this was at dinner out); I'm sorry I don't have any cellared.

For FInger Lakes Riesling with cut, you need to get the right producer and vintage. Try the 2006 Ravines Riesling, for example.

I haven't had a lot of Michigan Rieslings, but the 2004 Left Foot Charlie, which I've had twice (tastings were almost two years apart), was really nice last winter: Plump, sweet-smelling nose. Dry on the palate, but more body than I expect for a dry Riesling. Moderately long finish with a nice herbal note.

Regular HTML here, Steve, not UBB-style brackets. And thanks for the notes, all. Some new horizons to explore.
