Bourdy

Bourdy gets no love from the VLM, but a '90 Cotes du Jura Blanc was actually quite lovely last night. It was shown up however by the white '89 LdH Tondonia GR that preceded it. The LdH (current release I think) is a beaut with tons of depth.
Very nice back to back combo.

Not just me that beats it up. I once went through an entire case without finding a single bottle of interest. Most of them just made me angry.

Sounds like a match made in heaven.

I didn't say it wasn't fun. Terrible wines are fun and funny.

Haven't had a Bourdy white yet but I think I have a couple kicking around. I do like the red.

The 89 Tondonia Blanco GR is a definitely good wine, though I sometimes struggle with oxidative table wines (as opposed to sherry and madeira). The most interesting (to me) oxidative white I've had lately was the 06 Paolo Bea Santa Chiara.
