a nice lowland single malt from Signatory

While everyone who is anyone was partying and drinking real wine in NYC tonight without me, I was having dinner and then drinking wine (the '08 Produtorri Langhe Nebbiolo is precise and lovely and perfect). And then having the latest from Signatory.

Signatory single malts have just hit my market, and I am a big fan. The '99 Auchentoshan from Signatory is precise and subtle; really just beautiful. The whole "non-chill filtered and no coloring added" is for real, I think. v nice indeed.

If I were a Preds fan I would have broken out a bottle of scotch yesterday too, what a terrible ending.

Thanks for the Produtorri note, can't wait to try it.

Yeah, I can't talk about that game yet.

Thank you for the heads up.

I really don't know shit about single malts, but the Signatory single malts in my market now have been eye-opening in terms of quality, including releases from Blair Athol and Laphroig. For instance, I was never a fan of Laphroig before, but the recent Signatory release tastes like the unspoofulated version and with added distinctiveness.

I know Signatory has been around for a while, but I am just now discovering the releases.

Andrew wanted to watch some TV this afternoon, so I indulged him with the second half of the Everton-Fulham match. I had no allegiance in this game and, if anything, my sympathies lie across the Mersey, but Everton put on a show, equalizing early on, applying constant pressure and winning the game on a PK in injury time. Quite the show!

Is this un-Peated as with other Auchentoshan?

Does Andrew have a favorite team yet?

Apart from the one he plays on, nope. When he gets bigger I'll try my Man City jersey on him, but I'll let him explore his own allegiances in time.
