Expect some new faces- The Parker/Squire's Board goes subscription only

You're really barking up the wrong tree. I think Thor and others have told you this in the past week, since it's happened. You keep talking about and asking questions about other boards, here. You might notice that no one else talks about them, and that the information you want can perhaps be found elsewhere.

Have you been to other boards? Perhaps you should look at them and see what you can find there.

Honestly, I think that Squires would try to sue anyone who tried to repeat what's being said on the subject over there. But I can think of more than a few who will have been pretty unhappy with the move.

All are welcome.

As far as I can tell, no bump here, nor at WCWN or WLDG (both of which are treated more or less as VFW outposts by the "just getting into wine" youngins). 99.9% of the action moved to Todd's board, which even the Fed could have predicted. The daily post count there has seemingly doubled to me. I can still read the Parker board due to wine biz account access, postings are down, about one page's worth a day. Civil discussion with no mention of the exodus or anything like that. Many familiar names still there, some I don't recognize (I read most of the boards daily).

I think the dust has settled and what you see is what you get. This story has been written.

Problem is the action on Todd's board is not in Wine Talk, which is what pushed me over here.

My God man, you make it seem like the second coming of War & Peace has been written.
Only the great Hawaiian Coad would have the temerity to translate what has happened to the wine boards in the last few days.

I'm no lousy hippie but I calls them like I sees them, ball or a strike.

Lyle, for what it is worth I don't find Beserkers an interesting bored. But that's where the traffic is. We were discussing where eBobbers went, not the quality of the places they went to. I still muddle about in the backwater of WCWN like Dale does at WLDG. To each their own.

Who's this Todd guy?

A nice guy who started a board for people who had been kicked off of Squires. Unfortunately that means aside from many good people it's also has Albanians.

You posted on the Saint-Joseph there today plus many other tasting notes of late. What's with the push?

We all have professional responsibilities as pertains to creating personal cred so those who hire us can verify we are "out there" protecting the "brand" and such. I am sure GG would prefer you posting on more boards as well as keeping an active blog than producing lesser output. No great insight there, no?

As I mentioned a minute ago.

Fuck, we have Miller, Coad and Connell. I'm done, what more do we need?

Marc, Thanks for the interesting report!

Based on what you observe, it would appear that the eRP board may have achieved their basic objective(s) without too much turmoil...at least amongst their subscribers. A good many of the "familiar names" probably hark back to our Prodigy Wine Board days.

. . . . . Pete
