Now I'm torn whether to offer biographical facts and evidence to prove my existence or to just look like an alter-ego. I'm not here to make trouble, just interact with people that know a lot about the wines I like. And apparently I'm here to learn about prongs, too.

Don't worry. Many here still think I'm a Chris Coad alter-ego.

I have "lurked" on this board a bit and find the writing and comments to be different and refreshing. I also believe that I know many of you...some in person and others virtually. There really is/was quite a bit of useful, informative comments on e-bob as well as lots of useless junk. You simply had to filter the threads to find the interesting material. Looking at the names posting here...it is obvious that many of us post on multiple boards. I hope to learn from you and also add some interesting comments.

Marshall-

Good to see you here.

Brad
That kind of polite welcome is completely out of character for this board. Marshall is very familiar with people with inflated egos and know a great deal about every thing worth knowing about. Being born in NY he understands it's inborn.

Considering we're all either Joe Dressner or Chris Coad here, that's a good guess.

I think we need to carefully vet Marshall. I'm willing to pick through his cellar and sample his Burgundy and Rhones next time I'm in the Long Beach area.

You'e obviously geographically challenged, Marshall lives in Redondo Beach. I know this may be complicated for you to digest but all Beaches are not created equal. Remember his collection of Rhones are much more impressive than his Burgs.

Have no fear Lou!! Steve is good friends with Bennett so his geography skills are right on!! We get together when he visits that other, inferior beach....

Cheers!

So, Chris, in your eyes, discriminating based on intelligence and tastes is different from discriminating based on sexual preference or optical requirements?

"Optical requirements"??

Orientation is the concept I think you're looking for, Brad. Except for the (mythical??) Kinsey 3's.

This influx of newbs?

I'm holding my breath for Oswaldo, one or two more and he can no longer be considered an newbie. I think he even told a newbie to go fuck themselves.

Let's not forget the lurkers. Fuck them.

Apparently the Politburo has suspended accounts. I saw someone on Facebook wondering about his application to join Wine Therapy, which was pending. I said it could be a long wait to join Wine Therapy and suggest he consider Wine Disorder instead.

Jeebus, I'm only seven newcomers away from having to drink white Burgundy! Oh, promises, how easily you are made, and to such eventual regret...

Why trifle with that swill when there is plenty of Carlisle and Saxum laying about?

As for The Points Board erecting its version of the Berlin Wall, I am reminded of a favorite Marx (Groucho, not Karl) quote:

I sent the club a wire stating,
PLEASE ACCEPT MY RESIGNATION.
I DON'T WANT TO BELONG TO ANY CLUB
THAT WILL ACCEPT ME AS A MEMBER.
