Certainly not the basic Ptalos del Bierzo. Nice uncomplicated wine - little oak, some minerality, good red-berry flavors.

I think it's kind of mute and generic. I doubt I could pick it blind. I have had much better from other producers, at least for my $.

I can't find any Fla. outlets for the 2008 on wine-searcher.com, Jim - and the only 2007 in the area, at Wineontheway.com in Orlando, goes for $21, which is more in tune with their Spanish prices.

VS - Jim always seems to find wine deals at about half off the going rate.
It must be the 'winemaker discount.'

Nope (wish it were).
Wine Warehouse is a large chain in FL that buys pallets and keeps in-store overhead low. Hence, better pricing.
That's where I get mine, although at the moment, they are out of both.
Best, Jim

Maybe we should WOTLD (Wine Of The Leaf Day) polls instead?
So where do I get those sweaters?
I think I'm with Nathan here, overall: there is such a thing as greatness even if, on a given night, that bottle doesn't shine like it could.

As to the sweaters, CafePress will put anything on clothes, cups, clocks, etc. Come up with a few more phrases and I'll see what it takes to set it up. (Really.)
