put me in the easy mark catagory too. love the wine every year. don't find much at the price point (about $13 in my area) thats as good or as interesting.

I am exactly the opposite.

I almost always love the Cuvee Traditionelle and tend to find the cru wines a little ponderous, soft and ripe. Although I do wish I had tried some of the '07 Cru wines from Vissoux.

As for the comment about the '06 CT, that's not a favorite of mine, either. The '01, '02, '04, '05 and '07 were all better (and I feel that way about a decent range of Beaujolais and Burgundy from '06).

FWIW, the 2005 crus are starting to firm up and probably more to your taste now. Both the Poncie and MaV have impressed me in the last couple weeks - not for there youth but more for their structure.
Personally, I like them young but I suspect I will like them older, too.

Jim seems like you must have bought half the allocation of the '05 MaV. I appreciate your reports and need to open a bottle soon.

It hasn't happened often, but there are those rare times when one has a little extra money and some really fine vintage/opportunity coincides.
'Happened when the 2005 cru wines were released.
And once before, when the 1999 Burgundy and northern Rhone wines were released.
Makes for a happy cellar.

I'm coming to that conclusion too about 06, somewhat belatedly.
