Franck Peillot

Yes, nice stuff. But what Peillot are you drinking? Altesse, Chardonnay or the fizzy Bugey? I guess you don't mean the fucking (my first usage of this word here? but I guess I still don't lose my newbie status...) awesome Mondeuse as that seemed more suited to these cold climes up north?

Altesse. mmmmmmmmmmm

Had the amazing joy of the '05 altesse from mag recently. Stunning wine, and it shone in some remarkable company.

Speaking of, has anyone tried the 08 Altesse, current release in these parts? Successful year and worth putting some away?
Delish. Like someone stuck a sorrel flower to your skull w/ an icepick. Drink and hold.

It is a beautiful day, isn't it. We did some exploring in the woods up near Stevens Pass, came home and drank some Urki Txakoli in the sun. Life could be worse.

I'd drink, drink, and drink some more.

I don't really ever hold these.

Chug-a-lug Poo Bear.

I heard a rumor today about Peillot giving a 375 of a late harvest mondeuse to a visitor to his cellar. Anyone know anything about the existence of this mythical wine?

I'd expect nothing less from you

i love this wine

but we could use controversy, no? who hated of the 2003? that was my intro, along with 2002, and both were lovable

2007 with the yardbird at slows was tight as hell ("tight" in the sense of "good"). "was" because the last bottle was consumed five weeks ago, by a2's logan's kevin of all people, after his lady made it through the iceland volcano from scotland or something. perfect homecomeing wine i thought

I wonder how the '02 Cuvee Buster Altesse is doing? That was a sick wine in its youth. Anybody crazy enough to hold on to some of that?
