SP68

I already thought it was beautiful and was surprised by the flap. But, that said, I did think it was more tannic than this year's, which is all ease of quaff.

Arianna was worried about its being a first "mise," and how we would all pick that apart, but the stuff was the stuff, if I may.

I didn't realize there was a flap. I thought most people flipped for it and thought I was the odd one (or two) out. Don't get me wrong, it was nice -- it just didn't wow me, and I think it's priced high here.

What's the new version and what's the old one, and why are they different? Just vintage characteristics?

Multiple bottlings from the same year, as happens with smaller producers sometimes.

Thanks. I will open the one I have tonight, instead of the Frappato, just to see how it is. Not sure though if this is from the good batch or not.

All this time I thought we were talking about roads maps of Siclia.

Once again I have no idea what is going on.

I think we still are...as Kevin so succinctly points out. Just tell Jim it's not the Italian version of WD/40.

Ah, you daring soul. Better you than me.

Daring = ignorant?
I'd just like to know the language.
Best, Jim
I have some from the same producer but a more expensive cuvee. Remind me when you're here in Napa I'll give you some to taste.I like it.
