CWD: Le L D'Or '04

This smells like Chablis yet clearly echoes salt air and seashells. Ample fruit, as well as chalk, salt, stone and mineral dust flow across the palate in an integrated whole. If you place a glass of this wine near your ear you can hear the ocean lapping against a sandy beach. It has not budged since I last tasted it 3 years ago.

I really regret my foolish line of thought that I still had a bunch of 2002 Muscadet and therefore I shouldn't stock up on 2004. What was I thinking?

I have some of that. I drank a lot of it. It's great. It sings to me.

I am glad to hear all this approbium, as I have stashed away some '04 L d'Or for future birthday celebrations of our '04er son. Having previously grooved on the '90 L d'Or, I wasn't too worried, I have to add.

A new word on me. Is this meant to replace that old, boring word, approbation?

It will have difficulty with a near homonymn that is also an antonymn, opprobrium. Good luck on its catching on though.
