With Shepherd Pie
2001 Le Clos du Caillou "Les Roches Rondes" Cotes du Rhone Villages Cuvee Unique, alc 14.5%, $30: Quite sulfur-y upon opening (an avec soufre bottling?) this partially blows off but still lingers slightly later..bright berry flavors more than any blood, leather or iron... good but not very "Rhone-y"... perhaps even could be mistaken for an Aussie shiraz..still showing quite young.. Perhaps time will provide more complexity and typicity.. perhaps not.
