Anyone ever tried the R. Branger et Fils Manoir de la Greliere VV Reserve Muscadet?

Damning the Branger with strong praise for others?

Yes, but after deciding it wasn't worth drinking I went on to open a very nice 2006 Mt. Eden Vineyards Chardonnay. Much better.

Who imported?

A friend of mine at work who was visiting France and had asked me to save the NY Times for her and her husband while they were away. She knows I like wine and so very kindly gave this somewhat misdirected present.

So it's a duty-free shop purchase in all likelihood?

They were visiting the Loire (and I think just discovered Muscadet on this trip) so it was most likely a winery purchase. But I obviously can't say for certain, it could be a duty free shop purchase in which case it's likely heat damaged.
