we have one case left! already through one. Last night L said she wanted to buy a case for a friend and I told her they were gone - she said, you mean, til next year?

A wine to stock up on.

We've enjoyed the Pinon, but had some Closel 'brut sauvage' last night that I liked even better. Don't know if it will age as well. I don't like Closel's label, though.

I ended up trying a bottle of 2006 Pas St Martin Saumur Brut in place of the Pinon Brut. It was pretty enjoyable, very dry and minerally, slight bitter finish, a little more austere than the Pinon. I think a little more RS would have helped balance it out. Good wine for rockheads.

I haven't had the 06, but the 03 and 04 were nice, better than I'd expected.

Wow, that's intriguing.

The label thing? Naw, I almost always choose my wines by the label. Closel's an exception.
