Florida Jim
For the last couple months, I have been looking forward to this day. Pack it up and head out.
Ten day stop in the mountains of NC to visit with family and friends, a day or two in Dallas with friends and then, Sonoma.

We will arrive in time for the 4th of July parade to be viewed from an upstairs window in the Eldorado Hotel. We already have dinners and visits scheduled with friends. And I have work to do.

Cowan Cellars will become a bonded winery by the end of the year, we will release our first wines to our mailing lists members and our production will quintuple. New vineyards in cool spots, new buying opportunities for grapes I could never get save for the economic sort out that is on-going, and, the chance to work with people who have the same philosophy of wine that I do.
Its exciting; its daunting; it is, I am more and more convinced, my raison d'tre.
And, above all, its whats next.

Come and see us, if you get the chance.
Best, Jim

Safe travels, best of luck with this exciting new phase of your life, Jim, and don't forget who your friends are! Our travels this summer are taking us everywhere but CA, but I'll try to find my way out there when you're in town one of these years.

Well, I drank chardonnay tonight. Not much of it, though. Nonetheless, behavioral changes are likely attributable...

Different how?

Yixin,
Oddly, you are not the first to ask.
At present, I wouldn't even know how - I need a lot of research on the sales end of this biz. 'Feeling very ignorant these days.
Best, Jim

Some of the family wineries in CA are signed up to reps/agents who do the overseas distribution, and the good ones typically do some marketing and take the administrative load (e.g. country-specific labelling, export declarations, freight) off the winery. Might be worth exploring if you do intend to have an overseas presence.
