A toast

A group of us at a fabulous event in midtown Manhattan tonight all raised our glasses as one to toast Cory Cartwright with 1989 Clos des Briords.

Oh, thanks. Actually, I was referring to Cory, in yet another weak effort at humor.

This looks a bit like groundless pig ... very tasty groundless pig.

The metaphor doesn't usually include teeth and a snout. Well, I suppose I shouldn't speak for others. Chacun son torpille porc, or however one writes that.

Not all pigs are created equal. This guy was especially tasty.

I thank you guys for giving me the idea to rewatch "Spinal Tap" this weekend. I hadn't seen it in years and years. It is perfection of its kind.

Though I don't think I'll be able to listen to Led Zeppelin for a while.

Sometimes the back story is better than the final edit. This recording that Tony Hendra did for The Moth is one of those.

Though I don't think I'll be able to listen to Led Zeppelin for a while.

Forever works for me.
