CWD: BD wine

More specifically, another bottle of 1995 Clos de la Coule de Serrant. In summary - the least fucked up bottle of this wine I've had.

And that is enough for me, because even when it misbehaves it's a glorious wine. It comes out fighting, resisting - oxidative, surly, lurid orange-gold. It goes down screaming - thick, somewhat botrytised (!), dry and alcoholic-seeming (at 12.5%). Could I in good faith recommend this wine to anybody else? No. Would I open my remaining bottles with close friends, trusting that things will turn out right? Definitely.

And a match, oh what a match, with fried salted duck egg yolks (leftovers from a restaurant dinner - they batter fresh crabs with their in-house concoction of salted duck egg yolks, water and flour, and fry the entire thing).
