2004 Jayer-Gilles NSG Les Hauts Poirets 13.5%

Oswaldo Costa

Oswaldo Costa
Serious red berry pinot aromas with oodles of forest floor. Lovely texture, lively acidity, adult smoky fruit, no oak flavors. Decidedly delicious. Jayer-Gilles doesn't get much street cred but this lieu deserves to be dit.

Thanks for the note. What I read about this producer makes him engimatic, from the distinguished name to reputed high-oak treatment wine from the undistinguished AOC Hauts Cotes de Nuits. And now %13.5 in 2004.
