No corkscrew with you?

Cool.

My previous method has been to slowly push the cork into the bottle with my thumb. This seems like a better way to go.

The apartment I rent in Paris has a club across the street that's periodically lined with club-goers. Who, of course, keep me awake until all hours. Next time, I'm going to go out there and shoe some wine. If they're gong to keep me up, at least we can get some fun out of it.

might not work.

Unsuccessful result last night using a sneaker/treetrunk combination (picnic in the park).
Then again, it could have been one badass cork.

Hm. I have a particular old bottle with a cork so loose that a corkscrew or ah-so would just plunge it down. Wonder if there's a technique to shoe the bottle without stirring up the sediment too much.
