TN: Brooklyn Disorderlies #1

Lord, I love that wine. Went through 4 bottles in off-hours with some friends in the Brionnais countryside the last weekend in June. We drank it in between meals and many bottles of "Anecdot'hic 2009" -- Eric Texier's community vineyard sans soufre rose, and 2 bottles of his excellent Brzme Pergault roussanne 2008 (that wine is both delicious and an inspiration to meditate). All while being watched by giant white (Charolais) cows.

By the way, Le Table de Chaintre in the pretty and tiny town of Chaintre in Beaujolais is a terrific resto--very solid cooking --traditional with just a slightly updated flair and a killer wine list. Young husband in the kitchen and his lovely wife running the floor and the wine program. No a la carte - one set menu each week, changing with what is in the market. 5 courses E50. We had Vouette Sorbee de Saignee, followed by a refreshing and complex Ganevat Savagnin Ouille (awesome with a foie gras "marbre" terrine), followed by a delicious Denogent P-F (with rouget and dorade royale courses), 2005 Foillard 3.14 (sublime), another bottle of the Savagnin with cheese. After 3+ hours, 9 very happy campers rolled out in the late Sunday afternoon sun.
