The end of the world as we know it

Is this end of the world business a reference to the fact that Suckling is promoting Morgon or the fact that you receive tweets from Suckling!

If I received tweets from Suckling, that would, indeed, qualify as even more end-of-the-worldish (from my perspective), but I don't tweet. However, my better half collects information from the other side of the moon and keeps me informed.

you misread the tweet - it was @drvino who posted the Lapierre pic. He just retweeted it for the joke about the price.

Suckling is the guy who played the comedic lead in Mondovino? Has he branched out into wine twittering?

Is Monsieur Hulot also on Twitter? Red skeleton? Shecky Greene?

Oswaldo = Portuguese for wolf boy?

Ouch (still waiting for the scoop on Antoine vis-a-vis Nady).
Oh, sorry, no offense meant.

Antoine is Charlie's kid. The wines have a strong stylistic and pricing similarity to the old manse. There seems to be some issue between A and N, but I have zero personal knowledge.

Hmmm, maybe I'll try to visit both & compare.

Just checked his feed (http://twitter.com/jamessuckling) and I'm impressed with the cajones he's showing hammering Bordeaux over prices. Good for him and certainly a finer example of consumer advocacy than one hears from certain others who claim that mantle. To be honest, while he has a few quirky preferences and obviously commits critical malpractice in areas like Tuscany, I've always enjoyed his Bordeaux coverage, which usually contains some actual reporting and wine writing as opposed to just spewing tasting notes.

The way I understand it there was a fraternal rift between Nady and Charlie and Antoine is the beneficiary of that.

VLM keeps vouching for you, but....

They are all expensive. Not saying they aren't worth it, but they are the priciest things in the AOC.
