2008 Maisons Brulees (Michel Auge) Vin de Table Le Herdeleau

The manager at my new customer is named Guarnieri. (Yes, distantly related to those Guarnieri.)

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

At her old company, Theresa did a several-month engagement with the Knights of Columbus. Let's just say that the percentage of the billing that was secretly diverted to single malt Scotch was a little shocking.

The L'Erebe is a darker, more brooding wine with less spritz and more tannin.

I'll put my second bottle down for a few years and see what comes of it. I like it, not as much as the Herdeleau at the moment, but I think it has significant potential.

That's the best thing I've heard about the KOC in my life.

Michel Aug is a childhood friend of Catherine Roussel and Didier Barouillet's neighbor. Michel didn't teach Didier how to make wine and Didier did not teach Michel how to make wine.

Some smart aleck at Chambers Street must have told Jay this story.

Sorry! I was the smart Aleck-eben. I think the operative word was more "learn" than "teach." I never meant to imply that Catherine and Didier were taught, but that they learned some things from Michel. Didn't mean to cause any confusion, but now I've become a member of Wine Disorder to clear up the misunderstanding! Maybe it was a good thing.
