Just thought I'd mention that this is drinking *very* well right now. Even better than the 1998 which needs time.

Had it at a blind tasting last week and it really stood out as the best wine on the table.
 
In contrast to '75 (20th century) which was fading. Mouton-Rothschild and Cadet of same vintage also not bad.

Had this a couple of weeks ago...not as good as the Cos d'Estournal at the same sitting

Yes. I went so far as to look on wine-searcher. It's silly.

FWIW - my initial guess, quickly retracted, was a 1997 Beaujolais from a top producer. So I got the vintage right :)

Three quarters the table immediately said "no one keeps Beaujolais that long" the other quarter (who knew me better) replied "you're saying that to the wrong person".
