Not your typical CRB. The minerality is there if you look for it but at the moment it's a barely perceptible due to the dense fruit. This needs some time to unpack itself.
 
well drat. I thought I was bringing another 2008 Pif to the restaurant but pulled the 2009 Gamay I was saving for January instead. Didn't realize it until I saw the real cork come out.

Red fruit silk. Fortunately I have more.

I'm attending a 2009 Gamay dinner in January and I was going to bring it to keep all the Beaujolais honest.

but this has really improved dramatically since I first tried it back in July.
