2009 Lapierre Morgon - anyone?

We had an 06 the other night that was convincing. I've been a Lapierre skeptic hitherto.

The 05 young was so rich that it kind of grossed me out, but I think I saw a note from Cliff reporting a recent structure sighting. Maybe the 09 will parallel.

I have it on good authority that it's ridiculously gluggable, but has depth. I'm a Lapierre fan anyway, so that's all I needed to push me to buy a six.
 
I had a bottle the other day. It's a bit tight and a little one dimensional right now, but also a real pleasure to drink. The ones in this market just arrived here, so I think they need to settle a little, but this is going to be terrific, provided you like your Gamay with more fruit, though balanced. If you prefer screechier acidity and more spicy earthiness, then it's not your bag.

Yep, that was me, awhile ago. I had the same reaction to the 2005 on release as you.

I'm wondering about Jim's need for confirmation. This strikes me as a pretty no-brainer purchase. At least for those who already know and like Lapierre's wines. (I plan to buy some as soon as I can get around to it)

Lapiere is maybe 8 or 9 on my list. On the list, but when $ are limited, I may not get there.
 
yeah, I am with you. Fun stuff, but the first glass usually tells me everything I need to know.
 
I'm surprised to hear Lapierre is only 8th or 9th in the region (I'm assuming you guys mean in Beaujolais as a whole and not just Morgon). What would be your top three in Beaujolais?
