No shame, old thing, but no room either. Bringing beach stuff, bikes, etc. for a family of three (happy now, winegrrrl?) for a week's stay fills the ol' Outback, even with clam atop and bike rack on back. Non essentials like glasses are jettisoned for the public good.

Bubbles in the glass is an old-fashioned style known as "seeded glass". It originated centuries ago when the glaziers would not (or could not) always get the glass clear. The exterior lanterns of my house have seeded glass and my partner uses a seeded glass vessel for milk and water. (It's a large glass in the style of a 17th C cup, not exactly like a chalice but that word might give you a rough idea.)

I think he means: Around here we like and admire the use of language. The 'plus' shorthand is common, and is commonplace on other fora which we do not care to emulate in any other fashion.
