2004 Dujac Fils & Pre Gevrey-Chambertin 13.5%
Dang, this was GOOD! A previous bottle was marred by brett, but this was way more than I had led myself to expect from a ngociant villages. Enticing aromas of dark berry with bacon, iron and damp forest floor. Perfect acid/sweet balance, bright acidity, classy fruit, no hint of oak or excess alcohol, all brought to a close by a deft bitter finish that kept excessive friendliness at bay. Last night the perfect was not the enemy of the GOOD.
 
green ? drank 04 chorey drouhin over the w/e, not even a hint.
 
Do you think the green might have resolved itself with time? I haven't heard people mention greenness afflicting 2004s lately.

I've heard various anecdotal reports that it's been declining. Which is excellent news. On the other hand a Chevillon I opened earlier this year was noticeably afflicted.
 
there were very isolated cases in large 04 tastings, although a couple were extreme

Considering what I experienced in 04 Volnays a couple years ago, I would be very surprised if it had dissipated out of them by now, if it ever will.

Glad to hear of your good experience, Oswaldo. My own experiences with Dujac P-e-F has been less salutary, mostly underwhelming. I've never had their Gevrey, though, so maybe they get better fruit from that source.

Third of three last night, quite the lovely. A hint of green mean and a hint of wood, while ordinarily not welcome, were calibrated just so; just so as to complement the tony fruit.

Based on this, one could never, EVER, sing hit the road, Dujac, and don't cha come back no more, no more, no more, no more.
