Burgundy Advice?

I shall be interested to hear how it's doing. It seems to me that many top 93s, having poked their heads around the corner furtively for the last couple of years, have retired to rest in a darkened room and won't be showing themselves in public for a long time yet.
I can't drink any 99s with pleasure at the moment. Which pleases me.

The '99 Pavelot Savigny Les Beaune was pretty pleasurable last week, for what it is. Eight months ago it closed up pretty tight after the first glass.

A '93 Drouhin Bonnes Mares a few weeks ago was showing undeniable signs of early greatness. I'll wait another few years before broaching another bottle.

I'm very interested in how the potel shows as I own some of that wine.

Trust you will be giving both of them plenty of time to reveal themselves.

The Potel started tart light and diffuse but after about 4-5 hours of air it is deepening and providing me plenty of pleasure. Not sure what Tom would say, but I don't see how it couldn't give him pleasure either (future upside/development notwithstanding).

Ok, I lied. It has its moments, but I concede that it will only be better in the future. Such is life.
