Pian del Ciampolo

I drank a bottle of the 2006 Montevertine Pian del Ciampolo last night and it was a beauty. Fresh, silky palate, and full of lovely aromas. It was much more enjoyable then the last bottle a year ago. Very much a Burgundy style of Sangiovese, and a great food wine.

Has anyone tried the 2008 version yet?
I would appreciate any thoughts on the more recent vintages.

Had a bottle of the 07 Pian del Ciampolo @ Frasca in boulder about a month ago....
It was a treat of a sangiovese. It really popped with the mint on the pasta and grilled squash dish.

Lingered over a bottle of 04 Ferrando Carema bianca last night with some risotto alla milanese. The two best italian red experiences recently.....
